Fix Sagging Gutters

In some instances the gutter actually bends onto itself whereas in other cases the gutter supports can come loose or break completely. Often the spike that secures them to the fascia board has simply worked loose. Determine where your gutters are sagging.
The best solution is to replace it with a gutter screw. Luckily sagging gutters can be an easy fix with a ladder and a few simple tools. Sagging gutters are unsightly and can lead to leaks. If your gutters use long spikes or nails that go through the front of the gutter replace them with threaded spikes for a more secure fit.
If you have u shaped brackets holding your gutter from underneath change out the ones that are broken or loose. Next inspect the hangers and replace damaged ones with new ones from your local hardware store. If there s standing water it s not pitched properly. You want at least a quarter inch of slope for every 10 feet.
Gutters need to be pitched toward the downspouts for the water to flow properly. Get on a ladder after a rainstorm and look in the gutter. After that install the replacement hangers and make sure they re tight against the fascia.
