Hot rolled steel sheet and plate provides a rougher surface than cold rolled steel and plate.

Electrogalvanized electroplated coatings are created by applying zinc to steel sheet and strip by electro deposition. The electro plated steel sheet can be coated with paint varnish or lacquer by roller spray knife injection or electrostatic coating or laminating.
