Does Uv Affect Solar Panels

Id like to work out the correlation between the above solar rad readings to solar output from panels.
Does uv affect solar panels. In these conditions solar panels generate more power than when the sun is incident at indirect angles. When i first had this idea in january the uv index would never have exceeded a value of 1 even at noon. As you can see silicon solar panels can manage to use some of the ultraviolet portion of sunlight on the far left. Answered july 11 2020.
Sunlight energy that reaches the ground is around 4 ultraviolet 43 visible light and 53 infrared. Note that my solar panel is only 4 4 x5 4 or 0 01533m 2. Solar panels mostly convert visible light into electrical energy and they also can make use of almost half the infrared energy. The amount increases as it becomes visible light and panels go on to produce most of their electricity from visible light.
With that information i can determine the amount of solar energy available at any time by simply checking the weather. The systems with water cooling do not expose solar panels to such a sudden temperature shock like you hosing them down would. It has been found that uv increases by up to 4 for every 300m increase in altitude. Whilst the effect is minor it can still have an impact on levels of uv reaching the earth s surface.
Sunlight should hit solar panels as directly as possible. Hence the ideal angle for a solar panel is perpendicular to incoming sunlight. Sunlight is at its greatest intensity when it is incident directly upon a surface. Small particles suspended in the air can scatter solar uv.
Based on the relationship from the data above a uv index of 1 indicates 85 6w m 2. Direct and diffuse uv.
